We had the Cross Stitch Program and a few small cross stitch kits along with new designs we had made up from the program. We also had a few products for Decoupage and Paper Tole. From small beginnings, like Topsy, the business took off and grew and grew and then in 2004 Linda found a new craft called Pixel Hobby from the suppliers of the new Cross Stitch Program they were now selling called Patternmaker.
She had to get a kit to see what it was like of course. It became an addiction and we just had to sell it. We bought in our first bulk order of 1 box [100] of each Pixel Colour, 1 box [240] of Baseplates as well as very fine tweezers, thimbles - medium and large and two-way glue. At that time we only had 39 kits available which ranged from 1 Baseplate pictures to 12 Baseplate pictures. We started adding our own designs and then we found other designers which helped us add to our current range of over 1000 kits ranging in size from the 1 Baseplate to 56 Baseplates which has taken six years to build up. In 2005 we took on the huge task of travelling around New Zealand with the Dunkley’s Great New Zealand Craft Show and had a wonderful time meeting new people from all walks of life - some of whom are still purchasing the product from us today. Due to our health problems we no longer go round the markets and shows so rely heavily on this website to bring in our Daily Bread. We are available at home for you to call round and see what we have available or to show you how to make your own pictures into a wonderful personal picture or maybe a portrait to hang in pride of place on your wall. These pictures also make the perfect personal gift for friends and relatives. At the present time HOME Is a House Bus but. That will change next month March 2021 Linda moves back into the family home. It will seem huge compared to what we have been used to for the past nearly Four years.
We now send designs and kits all around the world and we have the knowledge that payments made through the PayPal Site are extremely secure for both parties involved in the Sale and Purchase of our products. With PayPal you are able to pay from any Credit or Debit Card that you may have - it costs you nothing!!! We pay the commissions on the Sales we make which is similar to having Credit Card Facilities or Eftpos without the added monthly costs from the bank.
We just love to make up new designs and obtain new designers so that there is a great variety of kits to choose from. If you have designed a great picture that could possibly be of commercial value then send us the information and we will advise you what you need to do next if we accept your design to be added to our site. When sales are made we pay you commission on the sales. Since Tony passed away on the 16th May 2020 our granddaughter Jordyn has been helping to get the orders out and is currently learning all aspects of running the business. She is doing very well indeed and catching on very quickly. I'd better behave myself or I may find I am out of a job.
BELOW IS A PHOTO TAKEN AT MARTINBOROUGH - A very hard place to get a stall at. This shows Keith Hutton looking at what is going on. We shared a stall with him and his wife who were selling possum skin gifts as well as knitted garments.
PLEASE NOTE : We also provide a "Lay-Buy" Service so that you can make payments for a specific kit at your leisure and when the payment has been completed [which includes the freight costs] we will then forward your parcel on to you. We can - by arrangement only - split kits up so that you can purchase a minimum of three or four [3 or 4] Baseplates (depending on the kit involved and how it can be split) at a time and you only pay for the pixels that you require at that time to complete those plates. The following Baseplates will be further split (once again depending on the kit involved and how it can be split) will have the balance of what pixels you need to complete the next three or four [3 or 4] Baseplates etc. This is just another way in which we try to assist you to complete a larger picture where costs can be beyond you to pay outright, but in smaller doses it makes it so much more possible for you to complete a great picture [work of art] for your Lounge or other prominent place in your home or as a special gift for someone you love. Please refer to the Home Page for further information and an example of how a kit has been broken up.

"I was wandering around the stalls at the Dunkleys Craft Show in Hamilton and I suddenly recognised my photography in a picture on the wall of the PixelHobby stand. It was a wonderful insight of what you can do with this wonderful new craft which can involve the entire family. I was shown how easy it was to produce a mini-mosaic picture and I could also see you had to be very careful of size when deciding on the one to work with."
