Thought It Was Cross Stitch

Thought It Was Cross Stitch

I saw a picture at a friends place a couple of months ago which I thought was cross stitch and she

advised me it was a pixel so showed me how it was done. I started off with a one base and have since

done three more from a six, nine and twelve base. I really enjoy doing them and they are so addictive

once you start you dont want to stop. The fact that you can make any photo/picture into a pixel is a bonus.

How I Became An Agent

How I Became An Agent

I have never done one of these before and you can change what you want.  I had a friend bring a pixel to badminton and she showed me how to do it and I really loved doing it so took it home and finished it off for her.  It was a one base plate picture and since then I have done lots more.  I have done some of my grandchildren and the race horses we have on the farm and many many more.  I am now one of the agents for the PixelHobby in my area and have got a lot of clients that have seen what I had done and wanted to have a go themselves.  They are loving it also and it is relaxing and once you start you just don’t want to stop. Linda and Tony are very friendly and their service is great.

Saw It At A Craft Show

Saw It At A Craft Show

I purchased my first kit at a Manukau Craft Show. I enjoyed doing it so much that to date I have done five more and I'm about to start my seventh one. The last two were using 4 base plates, and find this to be a good size to do. I really like the fact that you can use any photo and the free software to produce your own Pixel Art. Purchasing of all the equipment you need is very easy (via e-mail), the people are very friendly, and the service is very fast.

I Designed It Myself

I Designed It Myself

I love all things small and cute, except insects and spiders!  So when I discovered PixelArt I was completely hooked.
I like the flexibility of PixelArt – there’s the option to buy a ready-made kit or you can create your own kits from either converting your photos or creating a design completely from scratch.  I’ve yet to venture into the latter however I have converted several photos to PixelArt so far and have sent a few of them through to be completed as kits.  (In fact one of them is on the website-I’m very proud!)
I totally recommend this hobby to everybody!  I used to do crossstitch as well and, for me anyway, PixelArt has taken over, it’s quicker to finish and the result is just ‘funky’!  Even my parents are into it!

PixelHobby is very easy to do and a lot of fun

I've always enjoyed doing cross-stitch so thought I'd give PixelHobby a go - is very easy to do and a lot of fun.  After completing a small picture, I decided to get a photo of my son converted into pixels.  The finished product looks amazing up close and just like a photo from a distance.  Can't wait to do more in the future.

From the spare pixels Susan had from making her picture she actually made this picture of her son's foot.

I didn't want to stop doing them.

I didn't want to stop doing them.

I was asked to help put some PixelHobby Kits together for display purposes and found I didn't want to stop.  I just want to keep doing them all the time.

I got an Owl for Christmas!!

I got an Owl for Christmas!!

I was given an owl kit for Christmas, I thought it was not for me.  But when I got started I found I could not stop.  It was so easy I could not wait to finish it and see the complete picture.
